Juergen TELLERs Arbeiten wurden international in zahlreichen Einzelausstellungen gezeigt, darunter Kunstpalais Erlangen, Triennale Milano, Grand Palais Éphémère (Paris), Garage Museum of Contemporary Art (Moskau), Fotomuseum Winterthur, Martin-Gropius-Bau (Berlin), Rudolfinum (Prag), Bundeskunsthalle (Bonn), DESTE Foundation (Athen), OstLicht (Wien), Moscow House of Photography, Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain (Paris), Kunsthalle Wien und Museum Folkwang (Essen).
2007 bespielte Juergen TELLER gemeinsam mit Sergey Bratkov, Boris Mikhailov, Sam Taylor-Wood, u.a den Ukrainischen Pavillon auf der 52. Biennale von Venedig.
Seine Werke befinden sich in bedeutenden öffentlichen und privaten Sammlungen, darunter Centre Pompidou (Paris), Daelim Contemporary Art Museum (Seoul), DESTE Fashion Collection (Athen), Deutsche Bank Collection (Frankfurt), F. C. Gundlach Collection (Hamburg), Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain (Paris), Fotomuseum Winterthur, Frans Hals Museum (Haarlem), International Center of Photography (New York), Kunsthaus Zürich, MMK – Museum für Moderne Kunst (Frankfurt), Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, Museum Folkwang (Essen), Museum Morsbroich (Leverkusen), National Portrait Gallery (London), Olbricht Collection (Berlin), PinchukArtCentre (Kyjiw), SYZ Collection (Genf) und Victoria and Albert Museum (London).

Juergen TELLER was born in 1964 in Erlangen (Germany) and lives and works in London. From 1984 to 1986, he studied at the Bavarian State Institute of Photography in Munich.
Juergen TELLER is considered one of the most influential contemporary photographers internationally. His work moves between fashion photography, portraiture, and fine art, challenging conventional notions of beauty, glamour, and representation. His distinctive visual language combines directness, irony, and deliberately staged imperfection. He frequently portrays prominent figures such as Charlotte Rampling and Béatrice Dalle in unusual, sometimes provocative situations, blurring the boundaries between intimacy and staging, authenticity and fiction. By deliberately demystifying his subjects, TELLER creates photographs that offer new perspectives on identity, the body, and social roles.
Juergen TELLER’s works have been presented internationally in numerous solo exhibitions, including Kunstpalais Erlangen, Triennale Milano, Grand Palais Éphémère (Paris), Garage Museum of Contemporary Art (Moscow), Fotomuseum Winterthur, Martin-Gropius-Bau (Berlin), Rudolfinum (Prague), Bundeskunsthalle (Bonn), DESTE Foundation (Athens), OstLicht (Vienna), Moscow House of Photography, Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain (Paris), Kunsthalle Wien (Vienna), and Museum Folkwang (Essen).
