Radenko MILAK schafft durch die Übersetzung von angeeigneten fotografischen Motiven in Aquarell einen Raum für eine neue Sichtweise. Er modifiziert die formale Bildsprache des im Internet, in Printmedien und Filmen gefundenen Ausgangsmaterials und weckt damit ein neues Interesse an historischen Ereignissen.
Die bevorzugten künstlerischen Medien für seine Schwarz-Weiß-Serien sind in der Regel Aquarelle, aber er arbeitet auch mit Malerei, Zeichnung, Installationen und Animationen.

Radenko MILAK creates a space for a new way of looking via the translation of appropriated photographic motifs into watercolor. He modifies the formal pictorial language of source material found on the internet, in print media and films and therefore generates renewed interest in historical events.
The preferred artistic media for his black-and-white series are generally watercolors, but he also works with painting, drawing, installations and animations.

Biography

Radenko MILAK, born in 1979, lives and works in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. From 1999 to 2003, he studied at the Academy of Art at the University of Banja Luka in Bosnia and Herzegovina. From 2003 to 2007, he studied at the Faculty of Fine Art at the University of Art Belgrade in Serbia.
