Thilo JENSSEN tritt mit bildhauerischem Gespür an die Malerei heran: unzählige Male schleift er die Oberflächen, deckt so einzelne Partikel oder ganze Farbschichten wieder auf – sorgsam und strukturell arbeitend, gelenkt von zufällig entstehenden Mustern. Es entstehen Strukturen und Farbverläufe, die an mikrobiologische Organismen denken lassen, an Strahlung, Supernovae, Sonnenaufgänge und Sonnenuntergänge oder Lavaströme.

Thilo JENSSEN approaches painting with a sculptor’s flair: he grinds the surfaces countless times, uncovering individual particles or entire layers of paint – working carefully and structurally, guided by randomly emerging patterns. The resulting structures and color gradients are reminiscent of microbiological organisms, radiation, supernovae, sunrises and sunsets or lava flows.
