Alona Rodeh (geboren 1979 in Israel) ist eine in Berlin lebende bildende Künstlerin, Bühnenbildnerin und Stadtgestalterin. Sie schloss ihr MFA-Programm an der Bezalel Academy of Art and Design mit Auszeichnung ab und ist vor allem für die Schaffung großer, immersiver virtueller und physischer Umgebungen bekannt. Ihre Arbeiten werden häufig in institutionellen Kontexten gezeigt, mit großen Werken und Einzelpräsentationen an Orten wie, um nur einige zu nennen: Kunstmuseum Gelsenkirchen (2024), Gwangju Biennale (2023), La Casa Encendida Madrid (2021), Kunstpalais Erlangen (2019), Salzburger Kunstverein (2019); sie installierte permanente öffentliche Kunstwerke in Deutschland und Israel. Sie gewann zahlreiche Preise und Stipendien, darunter “Best Immersive and Time-Based Art” beim B3 Festival of the Moving Image, Frankfurt 2024, und mehrere Förderungen durch die Berliner Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Europa, Stiftung Kunstfonds, Bonn. Zu seinen Residenzen gehören ein einjähriger Aufenthalt im Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin, und ein weiterer einzigartiger Aufenthalt bei der Berliner Feuerwehr. Rodehs Werke sind in zahlreichen öffentlichen Sammlungen vertreten, darunter die LAS Art Foundation und das Tel Aviv Museum.


Alona Rodeh (born 1979 in Israel) is a Berlin-based visual artist, scenographer, and urban practitioner. Graduating with honors from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design’s MFA program, she is most known for creating large, immersive virtual and physical environments. Her works are frequently shown in institutional contexts, with large works and solo presentations in places such as, to name a few: Kunstmuseum Gelsenkirchen (2024), Gwangju Biennial (2023), La Casa Encendida Madrid (2021), Kunstpalais Erlangen (2019), Salzburger Kunstverein (2019); She installed permanent public artworks in Germany and Israel. She won numerous prizes and grants, including ‘Best Immersive and Time-Based Art’ at B3 Festival of the Moving Image, Frankfurt 2024, and multiple support fundings from the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Europe, Stiftung Kunstfonds, Bonn. Residencies include a year-long residency at Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin, and another unique residency at the Berlin Fire Brigade. Rodeh’s works are included in numerous public collections, among them LAS Art Foundation, Tel Aviv Museum and others. 

Biography

Alona RODEH was born in Nahariya, Israel in 1979, lives and works in Tel Aviv and Berlin. She received her B.F.A. as well as her M.F.A. from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.
