At approximately 8:40 a.m., a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the main entrance of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas. The driver, Matthew Livelsberger, a 37-year-old active-duty US special forces soldier who served in Afghanistan and other warzones, shot himself dead just before the blast. Seven other people were lightly injured. In a note he left on his mobile phone, he wrote: “This was not a terrorist attack, it was a wakeup call.
