Alona Rodeh (b. 1979) is a visual artist based in Berlin and Tel Aviv. Large-scale, often room-spanning installations that combine light, movement and sound are at the core of her artistic practice. Fueled by an interest in the qualities of materials and technologies that shape our visual and sonic urban environment, Rodeh’s ongoing meta-project. Safe and Sound (2014-) explores histories of off-theshelf reflective, phosphorus and illumination technologies. Currently, the nocturnal city is her centre of attention, investigating light as a cultural and physical entity.
