Mojé Assefjahs Gemälde sind wie Fenster in weite, imaginäre Welten im Spannungsfeld von Abstraktion und Figuration. Organische Formen und botanische Anklänge erinnern an die Ornamentik historischer Teppiche oder an die fließenden Draperien des Barock. Inspiration schöpft sie gleichermaßen aus der europäischen Malerei, insbesonders aus der italienischen Renaissance, sowie aus ostasiatischer Kalligrafie und den poetisch-mystischen Bild- und Schrifttraditionen des alten Persien.

Mojé Assefjah’s paintings open windows into vast, imaginary spaces. Her visual language reveals floral and botanical echoes, recalling the ornament of historic carpets or the flowing drapery of the Baroque. She draws inspiration equally from European painting – especially the Italian Renaissance – as well as from East Asian calligraphy and the poetic, mystical image and script traditions of ancient Persia.
