is the shelf inside all of us. Judicial records make people visible in
remote spots of history. By transcending the law these people exist. I
have chosen to pay attention to eleven women because of the fact that
their fates would presumably never have been represented anywhere else
than in the confrontation with the law. But history, as well as human
beings, are carriers of both thruths and lies. One of the court cases in
CODEX is totally fictitious and the punishment has been given an
