Die Künstlerinnen zählten alle Buchstaben aus der deutschen Ausgabe von Karl Marxs „Kapital“ und stellten daraufhin 22.591 kleine Kugeln aus Ton her. Jede einzelne Kugel ist handbemalt, alle wurden sie in einem Abfallsack aus Plastik gesammelt. Diese monotone und aufwendige Handarbeit sollte auch die Komplexität und den Zeitaufwand von täglicher Frauenarbeit sichtbarmachen, die paradoxerweise am wenigsten wergeschätzt wird.

The artists counted all the dots in the German edition of Karl Marx’s „Capital“ and then reproduced this number into 22,591 clay balls. The monotonous production of balls is reminiscent of hours spent on handicrafts and makes visible the complexity and time devoted to women’s daily work, paradoxically the least visibe and valued work.
