In der bereits dritten Einzelausstellung von THOMAS STIMM in der Galerie stellen wir die Produkte von SOYLENT GREEN vor. Hinter diesem Begriff – eine Hommage an den gleichnamigen Film von Richard Fleischer aus dem Jahr 1973, verbirgt sich ein „neues planetarisches Bewußtsein“, welches Thomas Stimm gemeinsam mit UTA WEBER seit 1995 konsequent in seiner künstlerischen Arbeit umsetzt.
“Wir sind Dekorateure künstlicher Welten und lieben farbige Räume. Es ist schön, ein Bild zu betrachten, aber es ist noch viel schöner, in ihm drin zu stehen… Wir wollen mit künstlerischen Konzepten, die mit Form, Farbe, Muster und Sounds spielen, zu einer neuen Identität unseres Heimatplaneten beitragen. Unser Ziel ist es, eine sinnliche Künstlichkeit zu entwickeln, die für alle Bewohner dieses Sterns TERRA eine gemeinsame Plattform darstellen könnte. Die von uns gestalteten Räume TERRANIAN DOTS sind Orte der Zusammenkunft, in denen der Mensch im Mittelpunkt steht und unsere Gestaltung sollte dieses Ereignis sinnlich erhöhen.
Mit unserer Arbeit versuchen wir, den Namen TERRA für unseren Planeten zu etablieren. TERRA sollte als Name der Beginn und die Basis terranischer Kultur sein und für jedes Lebewesen dieses Sterns der Begriff von Heimat bedeuten. Unsere künstlerische Produktion besteht aus Editionen. Unser Verlag nennt sich BEST OF OUR PLANET PRODUCTION und beinhaltet die Labels TERRANIAN WEAR, TERRANIAN COMFORT, TERRANIAN CULTURE und TERRANIAN FOOD.”

This is already the third individual exhibition by THOMAS STIMM at our gallery and in it we are presenting the products of SOYLENT GREEN. Behind this term – a tribute to the film of the same name by Richard Fleischer, dating from 1973 – is concealed a “new planetary awareness”, which Thomas Stimm, together with UTA WEBER, has consistently translated into his artistic work since 1995.
“We are decorators of artistic worlds and love colourful rooms. It is beautiful to view a picture, but it is much more beautiful to stand inside it… Using artistic concepts which play with form, colour, pattern and sounds, we want to contribute towards creating a new identity for our native planet. It is our aim to develop a sensual artifice which could represent a common platform for all the inhabitants of this star called TERRA. TERRANIAN DOTS, the rooms designed by us, are places of convergence, in which the human being stands at the centre. Our design of them is intended to heighten this event sensually. In our work we attempt to establish the name TERRA for our planet. TERRA is intended to be the name for the beginning and basis of terranian culture and to signify the notion of home for every living creature of this star.
Our artistic production consists of editions. Our publishing company is called BEST OF OUR PLANET PRODUCTION and includes the labels TERRANIAN WEAR, TERRANIAN COMFORT, TERRANIAN CULTURE and TERRANIAN FOOD.”
