The new series IM ZEICHENRAUM - originallly conceived by Tex Rubinowitz - will be inaugurated every last Saturday of the month at noon, in the gallery’s Third Room. Based on their thorough experience and singular approach on the medium drawing, Tex Rubinowitz (until July 2010) and Dan Perjvoschi (from September 2010) will present artists who work with drawing in their very own way.
MAX MÜLLER: Jemande und Niemande
Max Müller, born in the mid 60s in Wolfsburg, general-dilettante and universal-generalist, is above all headsinger of the brachial band Mutter from Berlin. A band which keeps certain secrets and storms out of its cave over and over. No prisoners are made- powerlessness, anger, ashes, and crying widows remain.
Max Müller draws the way he sings: abruptly and raw. Despite being mangy, in his drawings a certain spirit of love and justice arises. At the bottom of his heart Müller is humanist and a true gardener of hope. And it is not him who doesn’t get along with society, society doesn’t get along with him. Ruthless, nonsensitive, a society which bears crying widows. Tex Rubinowitz, 2010
