Text über den Künstler - English
we appear to be so advanced moving towards the millenium,
yet when we hear someone speaking perfect italian
who does not look italian we are amazed. this is the issue.
white boys singing rap music. black divas singing italian opera.
native americans owning gambling casinos. italians owning japanese
restaurants. brancusi making african art. a woman president.
baby with wings. talking mouse. fast food. this juxtaposition in life
is what keeps me returning to the small island of new york.
nowhere else on the planet earth does one get to see
the mixing of cultures and race played at such a force.

this is the true art of new york city. not the museums or the skyscrapers.
